The long offseason wait for IndyCar fans is almost over as the NTT IndyCar Series returns for 2019. A nail-biting 2018 season saw the championship battle go down to the wire and all the signs point to another thriller this year.

Metronomic consistency proved to be the deciding factor as Scott Dixon became a 5-time IndyCar Series champion, squeezing out rising star Alexander Rossi. This season Dixon expects an even tougher challenge as a resurgent Ryan Hunter-Reay joins Rossi, the Team Penske trio of Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power in what promises to be another enthralling championship battle.

Our friends at Mobil 1 The Grid caught up with Dixon, Rossi, Hunter-Reay and this season’s star rookie drivers – Swedes Felix Ronseqvist and Marcus Ericsson – to preview the season and the opening race in St. Petersburg, Florida.
